Our Magnificent Writing.
We have been writing descriptive paragraphs.
You will enjoy Chris Pan's description. Chris is a Year 5.
The Doll
The doll stood there, a lifeless figure, with blue eyes staring into the abyss. It has bushy eyebrows, thickened with the gathering dust. Her blond hair covers part of her hazy eyes, giving her a creepy look. Lips that were once pink are now gray after years without being in the light. She has rosy cheeks and a thick neck. like that of a horse. Resting under her neck is a slender body, covered with a thin pink dress made of light fabric, stretching out to her creaky knees. In her fairly skinned hand, sits a bright blue handbag, embroidered with fake jewels. Small, tender feet are trapped inside bright, plastic high heels, making her look like a model. When you see her as a whole though, she looks just like a rusty old doll.
The Toy Shop by Chris Pan
Bright lights flicker, illuminating the rows of rusty toys. Spruce shelves fill the store, making it look half as small. Sticky cobwebs fill every corner of the room, turning it into a house for spiders. The floorboard creaks when the occasional wind blows over it. Swaying lights hang overhead, threatening to fall down. Dust covers everything, giving it a coat of gray.
Toys are everywhere, ranging from helicopters to robots. Train sets that have been neglected for years are still scattered with trees and flowers. Dolls with beautifully braided hair and pretty handbags lie there untouched by human hands. Shiny cars that have turned dull over the years, stay there, waiting for the day that they'll be picked up.
Not your everyday, normal toy shop, but a toy shop none the less.
