Room 7 and Buddy Maths
Every day at 9 o'clock, Room 7 is invaded by 29 Year 2 students who come to learn maths from their buddy. Room 7 buddies teach the year 2s counting forwards, counting backwards, what is 1 more than, what is 1 less than, doubles, halves and counting on from the biggest number. This is the second group we have had this year. Many Year 2s have graduated!

It is great to see that the wonderful children are teahing and working with the younger children. I have seen you do this in class and you do an amazing job help teaching them. great wrok guys.

I remember last year's Room 7 class being experts at buddy maths as well. I love the idea of doing this and I need to do it more often with my buddy class at Owairaka.
